Kick Ass Garage Dot Com

Ok,  so I have lived in this house with a single one car carport---which was converted into a single car garage something like 8 years ago.

I have 4 cars:  The 1976 Chevrolet El Camino,  the 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe,  and 2 1969 Chevrolet Camaro base cars.  I have always wanted a decent place to store and work on them.   In 2006 I started making the preparations to make it happen.

It is time for them to have a house of their own to live in,  and in due time they will have such a place. 

This site will detail the fun and pain involved in building a kick ass garage.   It will not be stocked so quickly with kick ass tool boxes and other tools.  I am not that big into collecting tool boxes,  but it will have plenty of freaking room to do the work I want to do in the nice climate controlled area indoors away from the rain,  bugs,  temperature swings and prying eyes.

This will be the ultimate test the quality of work I can do on my car projects.   In the future I will be able to take my time with lots of lighting and plenty of work area.  The ability to completely disassemble a car and leave the parts scattered all over the place while still having plenty of room to work on other things has long been a dream.

Part of this project also involves creating additional living space above the garage--which I will make into my own private domain at some point in the future.  I really do not need any more living space,  but for a little more money,  and a lot of my free time in the future,  I get to roughly double the size of this ghetto house.  Heh.  

The house the garage will attach to is @ 1200 square feet.   I am thinking the footprint of the garage will be around 1500 square feet.   You could park about 18 Mini Coopers in there if need be.   Or 6 huge American cars with plenty of room to walk around them.
